ISO IEC 25021 - SYSTEMS AND SOFTWARE ENGINEERING - SYSTEMS AND SOFTWARE QUALITY REQUIREMENTS AND ASSESSMENT (SQUARE)
ISO IEC 25051 describes the quality requirements of software packages offered for sale, what kind of features the test documents of these packages should have, and the instructions required for the conformity assessment of software packages. The requirements and test instructions standard for Ready-to-Use Software Product (RUSP) quality are explained.
This standard is applicable to software packages such as text processors, spreadsheets, database programs, graphics packages, programs for technical or scientific functions, and utilities. It does not cover the production process of software.
