BS 10008

BS 10008 is the Standard for the Legal Admissibility of Electronically Stored Information. Its primary purpose is to provide organisations with a means of demonstrating that their electronic records are reliable and can therefore be used as evidence to resolve a dispute. Whether evidence of reliability is required in a legal dispute, when requested by a statutory body, or to resolve an internal dispute between departments or divisions, an organisation certified to BS 10008 will be in a position to demonstrate that its electronic evidence is robust and reliable. This information management system standard manages risks to the authenticity, integrity and availability of electronic information in scope throughout its lifecycle.
