EMC Electromagnetic Compatibility Tests

EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Electromagnetic Compatibility Tests

EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)  : It is known as “electromagnetic compatibility” in Turkish. As stated in the meaning of the word, it is based on the magnetic waves emitted by any device meeting the criteria specified in the standards. In our country, devices that have reached the final stage of design are sent to EMC test laboratories for testing   . Certain requirements of the device, each device has its own harmonized standard and base and ceiling values and technical conditions are specified for each.  In the EMC  test, it is checked whether the product complies with the standard determined according to its type and officially valid reports are prepared. Products with positive test results   are accepted as compliant with  the EMC directive and form the basis for applying the CE  marking indicating the conformity of the manufacturer to European standards to the product. It is expected that the products will not be affected by electromagnetic waves between the lower and upper limits determined in the range of standards and will not affect living beings with the electromagnetic waves they emit. There are certain values for these magnetic waves and measurement and reporting are made in test laboratories based on these values. In a semi-reflecting or fully-reflecting room, electromagnetic waves are transmitted to the device with the support of a suitable antenna and wave-generating devices and it is checked whether it continues to operate smoothly. In addition, if the device has electrical and in-out sockets, its operating values are measured. Products that result outside the values mean that the test is completed negatively. EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)  : Electromagnetic Compatibility has become a much more important issue  in recent days  . Every sector from military sectors to space technologies, from medical devices to industrial automation or automotive production is obliged to comply with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)  : Electromagnetic Compatibility requirements. The devices and other equipment listed below must be manufactured at a level that will provide sufficient Electromagnetic immunity in ordinary electromagnetic environments. • Industrial production equipment • National radio and television receivers • Mobile radio equipment • Medical and scientific instruments • Mobile radio and commercial radiotelephone equipment • Information technology equipment • Aeronautical and marine radio (wireless) equipment • Household appliances and household electronic goods • Telecommunications networks and equipment • Radio and television broadcast transmitters • Lamps and fluorescent lamps • Electronic educational tools
